About

Creating Immersive Community Driven Gatherings That Inspire Wonder and Joy

Uncanny Events creates gatherings that feel like they were never supposed to happen — pop-up places stitched from myth, music, and mischief.

Each one is a temporary town built by artists, weirdos, dreamers, and doers. We work with builders, musicians, circus folk, pirates, and people who never fit anywhere else. Together, we create immersive spaces that are part festival, part story, part something else entirely.

Attend, and you’ll find music, art, and strange little venues. Some are loud. Some are very quiet. Most are a bit magical.

If you’ve ever wished the world was stranger, softer, louder, or more beautiful—
you’ll probably want to get yourself involved.

Timothy Bradford

Creative Director

The original motive force behind Uncanny Events, Tim started his career in the festival industry on the media side writing for TheFestivals.UK, and creating The UK Festival Podcast. After many years exploring what made the very best events all over the world tick, Tim finally decided to take a shot at holding one himself. The result was the Uncanny Valley!

Graham with the first generation Awassa Soundsystem

Graham Robertson

Awassa Soundsystem Creator

Creator of the Awassa Soundsystem which features on all our branding, Graham has been one of the core creative voices behind Uncanny Events since the earliest days of the Illegal Garden Party. From walking around site chatting ideas and decor, to playing the closing set at Uncanny 2, DJ Giant Joe’s role in the Uncanny process has been been essential.

Bárbara “Babs” Lito

Bárbara Lito

Production Manager

Getting involved in the Uncanny Valley with 28 days left to go, Bárbara Lito, known to her friends as Babs, unleashed a tornado of organisational energy, essentially saving the event from falling into chaos. Now a core member of the team, her creative and organisational energy is vital for keeping the whole damn show on the road!

If you want Babs to devote her formidable skills to helping with your event, hit her up at info@contingencyproductions.com.

Hannah “Liberty” Pink (DJ Funky Bitch)

Hannah Pink

Music Production Manager

I call her festival royalty—she rolls her eyes when I say that, but come on: after growing up touring with her parents’ band, studying event management, stage managing across the UK, running high-end corporate events (yep, including the 3D-printed sweet company that took her to LA, New York, and Vienna), and home educating her daughter while working as a makeup artist… she’s earned the crown.

These days, Hannah Pink is back where she belongs—deep in the mud and mayhem of the DIY festival world, bringing an almost suspicious level of competence to our stages, sounds, and musical chaos.

And if you want to see what someone with serious graft and no time for corporate nonsense can actually pull off, check out her festival: The Tarantarti Party—a full-blown celebration of 30 years of Tarantism with more bands and stages than we know what to do with.

The Uncanny Valley is my baby, my pride and joy… But putting it on would be both impossible and meaningless without the army of people who help and attend.
